Are you a motivated professional who has the initiative to provide superior care and customer service? Do you have experience or training in Assisted Living? Then we want to meet you! We are looking for a full time CNA/PCA for our afternoon shift (PM) in our Assisted Living. 

 

 

Our Certified Nursing Assistant or Personal Care Assistant provides direct resident care under the supervision and maintains a clean, orderly, and safe environment for all residents, with emphasis on activities of daily living and anticipating the residents’ needs.

 
Essential duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

 

  • Assists residents in activities of daily living including, but not limited to:  ambulation, bathing, dressing, eating, minimal meal preparation, serving, clearing, and cleaning of dining areas, toileting, hygiene, activities, etc.
  • Light housekeeping of individual units may include bed making, and other general cleaning as needed between regularly scheduled Housekeeping visits.
  • Participates in admission, transfer, and/or discharge procedures.
  • Assists in transporting residents via wheelchair to and from activities, programs, dining rooms and/or pick-up points for transportation.
  • Monitors nutritional and fluid intake as indicated.
  • Identifies safety hazards and emergency situations 
  • Maintains resident safety.

 

RATE AND SHIFT INFORMATION
AM SHIFT

Wage Range: $17 to $21 per hour;$1,000 retention bonus ($500 paid at 6 months of employment and $500 paid at 1 year of employment). 

 
Minimum Requirements:
• One year proven experience working or training with the geriatric population
• Current First Aid Certification
• CNA Certification a PLUS!
• Able to meet physical demands of position: lifting/carrying of up to 50 lbs. or in emergency over 100 lbs.
• Ability to monitor vital signs. 
• Ability to deal with dementia residents who may exhibit agitated or unusual behavior.
• Must be able to wear protective gloves to guard against exposure to bodily fluids and cleaning agents. 
• Must be able to distinguish appropriate bodily fluids and food temperatures.
