Billing Coordinator

We are currently considering candidates for a hospitality focused Billing Coordinator. Candidates must have a minimum three years experience in medical billing and a desire to join a great team dedicated to providing outstanding and superior hospitality. We currently have the following shifts available: Full-time, Monday - Friday.

The Billing Coordinator at The Glenview at Pelican Bay is responsible for data entry, clerical support duties, and assisting the Financial Services Director in the day-to-day coordination and operation of the department.

The Billing Coordinator will assist with the following services including but not limited to:

  • File all Medicare A&B claims accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Verify resident insurance coverage.
  • File insurance claims with insurance providers.
  • Schedule and participate in departmental meetings.
  • Serve as liaison to the Administrator, medical staff, and other professional and supervisory staff.
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of an adequate billing system that reflects the operating revenue of the facility.
  • Establish and maintain a system of financial recordkeeping to include ledgers, recording payments, writing receipts, posting cash journals, prepare and make bank deposits, etc.
  • Monitor and collect accounts receivables. Report delinquent accounts to the Administrator and/or the Director of Financial Services.
  • Review entries to the billing ledgers, to assure accuracy and compliance with established accounting procedures.
  • Prepare financial and statistical reports pertaining to billing as required.
  • Prepare and mail monthly statements to Residents.
  • Keep abreast of all new Medicare changes as necessary to assure continued ability to provide quality accurate Medicare billing.

Most possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent; Associate's Degree in Accounting preferred. Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years experience in medical billing, or any combination of experience, education, or training which would provide the knowledge required by this position. Must be familiar with filling out UB92 forms.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Ability to work independently, prioritize work and meet deadlines. Must have advanced training in a medical billing facility. Must pass an extensive criminal background check and drug screen.
