The Billing Specialist will join the Billing Services team in Des Moines, Iowa. This position will provide third party billing services to Life Care Services managed communities and must be flexible and able to accept various duties from day to day. This position reports to the Billing Services Manager.

What You Need To Know

  • Generates and analyzes monthly billing statements for accuracy.

  • Posts payments to resident accounts.

  • Processes accounts receivable billing for various communities.

  • Conducts internal and external trainings for internal staff and external staff as needed on resident billing systems.


What We Are Looking For

  • Associates Degree in Accounting, Business, or Medical Billing preferred

  • Two or three years of related experience preferred

     

    Even Better 

  • Proficient with Microsoft office (Excel, Power Point, and Word), and computer knowledge and/or experience

  • Strong and accurate typing and 10-key calculator skills

  • Good communication skills - both verbal and written

  • Uses good judgment in making routine decisions

  • Experience with Resident Billing in the Senior Living Industry is a plus

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines - good organizational skills
