Clinical Systems Analyst


Clinical Systems Analyst works in collaboration with the LCS Health Services Division team members and community staff to implement and maintain the clinical information systems (EMR) utilized in LCS managed and owned communities.


Training, system maintenance, customer service, and end user support are the primary focuses for this position.


The Clinical System Analyst also serves as liaison between technical services and clinical staff and acts as a mentor to Clinical Systems Support Analyst.

What You Need To Know

  • Analyzes, develops, and maintains clinical applications, procedures and other systems. that satisfy the needs of the clinical system users.

  • Reviews, evaluates and implements requests from clinical system users.

  • Oversees clinical applications to ensure proper use and security.

  • Analyzes problems, determines cause and initiates corrective action.

  • Develops clear and concise documentation, instruction manuals.

  • Provides in-service and other forms of continuing education of clinical systems to clinical users.

  • Provides training to end users.

  • Coordinates implementation of clinical systems.

  • Maintains a high level of interaction with all clinical areas to continually enhance/improve resident care.

  • Shares on-call duties with other individuals within the EMR Team.


What We Are Looking For

  • Associates Degree minimum in the Computer Science, Healthcare or equivalent experience.

  • Two years of experience with clinical information systems providing training or support to users.

  • Two years of experience in healthcare.

  • Experience in inter and intra-departmental communications required.


Even Better 

  • Must be able to communicate effectively, coordinate multiple duties simultaneously and be able to independently solve clinical system related issues.

  • Understand interactions between clinical areas and their roles within the care setting.

  • Stays current with technology through seminars, educational opportunities, trade magazines, etc.

  • Basic computer skills are required including: keyboarding, use of PC's, computers, terminals, printers, etc.
