What You Need To Know

Creates and administers the dissemination of corporate messaging internally and externally.

 

  • Promotes the LCS Family of Company brands to media and external sources including writing press releases, blogs and scripts. Manages incoming media inquiries and helps coordinate interviews with appropriate internal stakeholders. Serves as the secondary contact for public relations and crisis management issues.

  • Utilizes media monitoring service and other technology to optimize media communications by creating targeted lists, sending press releases and tracking media effectiveness.  Identifies trends and tracks results.  Curates and disseminates daily news to internal stakeholders.

  • Reinforces and protects the corporate brands by working with business line leaders to ensure external communication strategies align with, and proactively drive our corporate vision and culture. Develops a measurable brand communication plan for the corporate family of companies and creates creative, brand-oriented content that supports the organization’s strategic initiatives and priorities.

  • Partners with human resources and other LCS departments (as appropriate) to ensure smooth and seamless coordination of communication processes and messaging


What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing or related fields

  • Passion for writing and editing with the ability to build a storyline that is informative and engaging; proficient in applying Associated Press Stylebook

 

Even Better 

  • Working knowledge of media monitoring and news release platforms

  • Experience working with both PR and content creation

  • Working knowledge of content management systems, preferably WordPress

  • Microsoft business applications: Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Quick learner who is energized by handling multiple stakeholders and deadlines

  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

  • Impeccable attention to detail

  • Self-motivated disposition

  • Equally adept at advising senior leadership and guiding entry-level positions
