The Director of Sales and Marketing at The Delaney of Bridgewater in Bridgewater, NJ is responsible for developing and implementing a marketing and sales program to ensure maximum fill up and that occupancy and revenue levels are achieved for the community. The Director of Sales and Marketing will be leading the sales and marketing team and occupancy development at this new senior living community.

What you need to know

  • Work closely with the management team in developing, implementing and updating all sales and marketing plans that include but are not limited to:
    • ​Community events
    • Educational Seminars
    • Professional Networking
    • Advertising
    • Public Relations
    • Outreach
  • Utilize strong interpersonal skills to identify and maintain key relationships with community and professional sources.
  • Work in partnership with the Community staff to insure all aspects of the sales process (inquiry, tour, follow-up, and closing the sale) are handled professionally and expertly.
  • Ensure appropriate follow up activities are completed so all inquiries are identified, scheduled, completed and documented.
  • Utilize the Leads Management software system on a daily basis to capture key data as appropriate.
  • Participate with management team to assure marketability of the community, including: 
    • Upkeep and attractiveness
    • Resident/Family communications
    • Utilization of internal events for marketing
    • Accountability for in house marketing and sales training
  • ​Keep abreast of key competitors strengths, weaknesses, and pricing.
  • Work closely with management team to maximize revenue.

What we are looking for

  • A bachelors degree with emphasis in marketing/sales preferred.
  • Two years sales experience or public relations experience necessary, preferably in the Senior Housing industry.
  • Strong sales management experience in Senior Living
  • Supervisory experience and/or capability.

  • A desire and ability to relate to and continue learning about the senior population.
  • Self Disciplined, driven, able to demonstrate initiative, maintain confidentiality, competitive, attentive to details, persistent, and personable.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated success in a sales environment.
