Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.  Must have a valid nursing license.  Bachelor’s Degree - RN, BSN, RN (2 or 3 year degree) with Business Administration, Management or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ skilled nursing background.
Ability to travel 75% - 80% of the time.
Must have ability to respond quickly to internal challenges and devote time as needed when there is a community crisis or to assist with start up on new communities.
Extensive knowledge of the PPS, Medicare’s Case Mix System and Medicaid Case Mix. Clear understanding of the full continuum of PPS and integration/impact from accuracy of PPS, nurse/ancillary notes, care plans and billing.
Be able to tie all clinical support to billing.
Thorough understanding of all clinical State and Federal compliance areas as well as financial impact: nursing, therapy, pharmacy, social services, activities, administration and accounting.
Solid knowledge of OIG Guidelines and working knowledge of HIPAA.
Ability to develop training programs for Administrators and DONs.
Ability to develop benchmarks and trending data for an individual community and LCS corporately using Oscar and QI reports along with other data collected from facilities.
Ability to write clear quantifiable reports that will serve as clear action plans for communities.
Must be highly articulate and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and stay focused on prioritizing work.
