Operations Specialist


The Operations Specialist is responsible for managing the overall operations of the Community, on a temporary, extended, or as needed basis. The role includes providing an appropriate environment for both residents and employees; establishing and maintaining family relations; meeting financial expectations; adhering to corporate policy and procedures; and upholding the corporate mission, philosophy and values.

What you need to know
  • Actively participate in and provides leadership for the Community and its staff.
  • Supervise directly/indirectly all staff in the Community.
  • Implement programs and services for residents that are developed in tandem with Regional and Corporate staff members.
  • Ensure Community is in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Direct the management team to ensure the success of the Community including:
    • Working with residents, family and responsible parties to achieve a high level of satisfaction.
    • Maintaining a positive relationship with the professional community.
    • Facilitating open communication with staff and peers.
    • Maintaining confidentiality of employee and resident records as appropriate.
    • Accountable for all areas of operations meeting all financial and budgetary objectives. 
  • Participate and be accountable for oversight of all marketing and sales activities and             results.
  • Operate the Community in accordance with the Company‚Äôs policies and procedures and ensure the safety and security of residents and staff.
  • Ensure that the Business Office Manager completes all required elements of Workers Compensation Program in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the implementation of OSHA and Safety guidelines.

What we are looking for
  • Prefer two or more years of experience in a leadership capacity in a senior living industry.
  • Four year college degree in healthcare or related subjects or the equivalent in education, training and experience.
  • Assisted Living licensure or certification in state if required

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to understand and administer the financial reporting and requirements of the Community.
  • Capable of knowing and understanding the dynamics of the competitive marketplace
