Sales & Marketing

The Sales Specialist is responsible for oversight and execution of marketing and sales initiatives for assigned community (or collection of communities) with the purpose of achieving and exceeding budgeted sales and occupancy goals.  This position will work closely with the Executive Director(s) to create a collaborative and effective work team delivering measurable results for community/collection owner.  This position will be primarily responsible for independent living, assisted living, and memory care occupancy development for assigned communities.  The Sales Specialist will lead by example, demonstrating best practices ensuring that community staff are enabled and accountable to execute marketing and sales plans and initiatives successfully.

What you need to know
  • Provide hands-on guidance and direction to community sales staff in execution of sales strategies and activities calibrated specifically to occupancy and move-in velocity goals for all levels of care
  • Provide direct selling and/or outreach support when necessary to improve sales performance and meet budgeted sales and occupancy growth expectations
  • Oversee and execute tactical deployment of community occupancy development plan(s)
  • Direct and support weekly outreach strategies with community staff to strengthen professional networking and referral relationships with qualified community referral sources
  • Assist Executive Director(s) in recruitment, selection, onboarding and training of community based marketing, sales and outreach personnel
  • Ensure proper utilization of community marketing and sales budget
  • Establish and conduct public relations and promotional events in surrounding community to advance brand awareness and value as well as drive qualified leads and referrals
  • Maintain positive relationships with residents and their families and create opportunities for ongoing resident and family referral campaigns
  • In concert with Executive Director(s), establish and reinforce LCS best practices relative to Marketing and Sales management and implementation
  • Perform as a sales coach in both formal and informal sales training settings
  • Work closely with the Executive Directors, Life Care Services Director of Marketing and Sales, and advertising partner in the development and execution of quarterly tactical plans for occupancy development in the assigned community(ies)

What we are looking for
  • Demonstrated sales success with diverse senior living product types (including but not limited to Lifeplan / Entrance Fee sales), care levels, and community environments.  Multi-community experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.  Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, vendors, all community and corporate staff, and owner/boards.  Public speaking/presentation skills also required.
  • Experience in recruiting, training, supervising, coaching and motivating marketing, sales and outreach staff.
Even better
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating environment, Microsoft Office Suite, and e-mail programs.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in CRM utilization, reporting, and data analysis – preferably Life Care Services proprietary C3 Suite.
  • Aforementioned technical skills can best be acquired through a combination of a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of marketing/sales experience in senior housing, preferably at a Life Care Services-managed or owned community
