What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree minimum in the Computer Science, Healthcare or equivalent experience.

  • 5 years of experience with clinical information systems providing training or support to users.

  • 5 years of experience in healthcare.

  • Experience in inter and intra-departmental communications required.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively, coordinate multiple duties simultaneously, be able to independently solve clinical system related issues.

  • Understand interactions between clinical areas and their roles within the care setting.

  • Stays current with technology through seminars, educational opportunities, trade magazines, etc.

  • Basic computer skills are required including: keyboarding, use of PC's, computers, terminals, printers, etc.

 

Even Better 

  • Ability to work independently and as a team

  • Ability to interact with all levels of workforce with a high degree of professionalism.

  • Understanding of how technology affects an organization and ability to link it to redesigned business process

  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to troubleshoot problems and come up with viable solutions.

  • Experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong project management skills

  • Excellent communication skills–both verbal and written. 

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Delegates tasks to others with clear and concise instructions

  • Ability to deal with a number of tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.

  • Able to use judgement in making routine decisions.

  • Discretion - in medical environment where personal health information (PHI) exists. Must adhere to privacy and security policies, compliant with HIPAA/HITECH and other federal and state laws.
